"Design is Thinking Made Visual."

-Saul Bass

I’m Andrew So, a Visual/UI Designer rooted in the innovation hub of the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Skaiber8, my creative portfolio, is a showcase of my 15+ years spent crafting designs that don’t just look good but deliver seamless, user-focused experiences.

Throughout my journey, I’ve had the privilege of partnering with a diverse mix of clients, from cutting-edge startups to well-established design firms and in-house creative teams. My approach is all about solving real user problems—working hand in hand with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to design solutions that blend creativity, strategy, and empathy.

Having an open mind when it comes to culture and diversity, living in the Bay Area, it has helped me as a person as well as a designer. I can collaborate more effectively and create products that effectively resonate with a wide range of users. Art, photography and visual design have always been a passion of mine, contributing to my continual learning for the creative disciplines along with emerging technologies and tools that help facilitate the design process.

When I'm not working, you can usually find me on short road trips along the coast, usually with my DSLR camera, sketchbook, and AirPods, listening to some edgy and inspiring music.
